History of scientific instruments

The history of scientific method and thinking, through instruments of different ages

The impressive variety of scientific instruments preserved by Italian University Museums (mainly of Medicine, Chemistry and Physics) becomes witness of the evolution of the disciplines, and show how scientific method has been refined also thanks to technical improvement. The possibility of collocating some technical solutions in a historical framework allows the visitor to better contextualize scientific discoveries in their time and to understand how scientific practices and theories have changed over the years.
