Didactic history

These are the Faculties instituted and initiated in the period from 1980-2002:

1980 –Faculty of Agriculture (DPR July 1, 1980, n. 549, G.U. n. 254 September 16, 1980);
1983 – Faculty of Modern Foreign Languages and Literature – European Oriented (DPR May 17, 1983, n. 311; G.U. n. 182 July 5, 1983);
1987 – Faculty of Mathematic, Physical, and Natural Sciences (DPR July 25, 1987; G.U. n. 267 November 14, 1987);
1990 – Faculty of the Conservation of Cultural Heritages (DPR July 15, 198; G.U. n. 304 December 31, 1987);
1991 – Faculty of Economics and Commerce (Decree of the rector n. 3102 June 21, 1989; G.U. n. 255 October 31, 1989);
2002 – Faculty of Political Science (Decree of the rector n. 20/2002 January 8, 2002 ex DPR n. 25/1998).

The Faculties of Agriculture, Modern Foreign Languages and Literature, Mathematic Physical and Natural Sciences, and Conservation of Cultural Heritages were located in Riello, while the locations of the Faculties of Economics and Political Sciences were, respectively, the former Convent of Santa Maria del Paradiso and the San Carlo complex.

In the realization of the Law on December 30, 2010, n. 240 (the so-called Gelmini law), since June 18, 2011, the functions related to the planning of the educational proposal, as well as the organization and management of the teaching, were transferred from the Faculties to the Departments. Until October 31, 2011, the Faculties maintained the only responsibilities necessary to ensure the regular conclusion of the teaching courses of the academic year 2010-2011, the development of the course exams, and those for graduation, until the fall session of the same academic year.
