An agreement is signed between the University and the Hospital Santa Maria della Scala for the operation of 5 medical departments. Two years later, the whole hospital is transformed into university teaching and research hospital.

Carlo Rosselli, founder of the antifascist movement Giustizia e Libertą (Justice and Freedom) graduates in Law with a thesis First lines of an economic theory of the workers unions. In 1937 he was shot by Fascist killers in France.

Mario Bracci, Rector of the University of Siena, grants Bachelor Degree ad honorem to three students who were killed as partisans
